“It’s such a thrill. I’ve had a long career. I’ve played a lot of cops and FBI or bad guys who were just two-dimensional bad guys. Bishop is 3D. He is full, alive, and present, in this moment. And to do it with these brothers, and this cast of Latinos is awesome.”
Michal Irby (Class of 1995) is once again starring as Obispo ‘Bishop’ Losa in season four of FX’s Mayans M.C.
A spin-off of FX’s hit show Sons of Anarchy, Mayans M.C. follows Ezekiel ‘EZ’ Reyes as he tries to become a trusted member of the Mayan MC biker gang in California following a prison sentence.
Michael Irby has had a jam-packed career which includes recurring roles in such television shows as the David Mamet created The Unit, True Detective, SEAL Team, and HBO’s Barry (returning in season three this Sunday, April 24th). He also appeared in the Robert Redford (Class of 1959) lead film The Last Castle and played Zizi in Fast Five.
Mayans M.C. returns to FX tonight, April 19th. The first three seasons can be streamed on Hulu. Watch the season four trailer here.
