Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite is returning to Broadway over 50 years since its original run closed after 1,097 performances.

Plaza Suite is a three-act play set in three different hotel rooms with three different couples, with all three couples usually played by the same actor and actress. The original cast included heavy-weights George C. Scott and Maureen Stapelton and was directed by Mike Nichols. This go-around all three couples will be played by real-life husband and wife Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker with direction by John Benjamin Hickey.

Alumnus John Brant (Class of 2006) is serving as a producer for the production under his company Smith & Brant Theatricals. This is the production company’s third Broadway staging after producing the musical Come From Away and Harold Pinter’s Betrayal, which featured Tom Hiddleston, Zawe Ashton, and Charlie Cox.

The show went into previews on February 25th, 2022, and will open at The Hudson Theater on March 28th, 2022. You can learn more about the show, buy tickets, and watch a sneak peek here.
