Writer: Alex MatthewsAlex Matthews

The Academy is excited to celebrate Brett Goldstein (New York Summer Program, 2003) on winning a Primetime Emmy Award for "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series."

Mr. Goldstein admitted to being in shock when he heard his name announced, so much so that he didn't hear it.

"I actually was like, 'Who is it? Who'd they say?' And then everybody stood up and they were looking at me," he explained. "Thank God they had it written on the thing because I was like, 'Oh s**t.'"

Catch Goldstein as Roy Kent in "Ted Lasso" from Apple TV+, which took home an additional three Emmys last night, including; Jason Sudeikis for "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series," Hannah Waddingham for "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series," and "Outstanding Comedy Series."
