Taylor Mac Nominated for Drama Desk Award

Taylor Mac (Class of 1996), has been nominated for the Distinguished Performance Drama Desk Award. The nomination is no surprise, with Mac’s previous accolades including: The Booth Award, the Kennedy Prize, two Obies, a Tony nomination, and a MacArthur Fellow, just to name a few.

The production, The Hang, is a “ritual celebration of queerness, questions, and the eternity of a moment,” that is “Rooted in the jazz tradition and operatic form, it imagines the final hours of the life of Socrates.”
