In present-day Manhattan, Chilean immigrant actress Mona (played Poli Olavarria, Class of 2023) faces the imminent expiration of her visa. As she navigates looming deadlines, a perpetually drunk boss, a budding romance, and the deep loneliness of city life, the play poses the question: how must it feel to not be wanted at the place you want most?
With wit and touching sincerity, Olavarria penned the script for ¡Someone ExtraodinariX!. Catch the play at the Producers Club in New York on May 30th, 31st, or June 1st at 7:30. Academy grad Lauryn Savela ('23) stars alongside Olavarria.
