Running May 1–18 at The Players Theatre in New York, ¡Someone Extraordinarix! is a heartfelt and bilingual new play written by Chilean-born actor and playwright Poli Olavarria. Set in present-day Manhattan, the play follows Mona (played by Olavarria), an aspiring actress facing the looming expiration of her student visa. As the deadline looms, she scrambles to book acting gigs, hold down a survival job, and put together a last-minute visa application, all while navigating a budding romance in a restless metropolis.

Directed by Daniely Martins (‘24), Olavarria is supported by Lauryn Savela (‘23), Vincent Rame (‘23), and Sophie Morrison (‘22). Francesca Pecchi (‘23) stage manages the production.
